ARDOYNE/SHANKILL HEALTH PARTNERSHIP

The Ardoyne/Shankill Health Partnership Project is a Community led Health Improvement Programme, which aims to reduce inequalities in Health by offering facilities, information and support, which hopes to allow people to take change of their own health.

The Key features of the Health Improvement Plan are:

  1. Community Lead Involment Programmes
  2. Reducing Inequalities In The Health Sector
  3. Creating Greater Health Awareness
  4. Programmes Available
Key objectives Of Programme:
Targeting Social Need and Promoting Social Inclusion To promote mental and emotional well-being Making use of local facilities to offer information and support.

To increase physical activity levels To reduce stress and anxiety To reduce the amount of ‘risk’ behaviours To network with statutory organisations

Greater Community Health Interaction:
Specific Community & Voluntary organisations whom will be responsible for delivering a range of programmes in four key areas:

• Men’s Health
• Women’s Health
• Young Men and Women
• Mental Health

Reducing Inequalities In The Health Sector
It is one of the Ardoyne/Shankill Partnership's main aims to reduce the amount of inequalities in the modern day health service. We hope that through education of our clients that the standards within the Health field will improve considerably.

Creating Greater Community Awareness:
